Home Remedies For Anal Fissure

Anal fissure is usually caused by constipation and other bowel disorders. The anus is the opening from the bowel, from which the feces is excreted out of the body. Tiny cracks appear in the skin around the anus and this is known as anal fissure. When the stool is hard, a lot of pressure has to be exerted to excrete it out of the bowel. This, damages the mucous membrane and the tissue in the anus.

The abnormal stretching causes a linear crack in the skin surrounding the anus and results in sharp pain every time there is a bowel movement. The skin also gets bruised and starts bleeding. There is constant itching and a feeling of great discomfort in the anus. The passage of subsequent motions, further aggravate the fissure and it can get infected by the feces. The fissure can also extend to the muscle fibers and lead to severe pain.
