Back acne refers to break outs in the form of pimples and blackheads on the skin at the back. It may be caused due to stress, tension, unbalanced hormones, hereditary factors and food allergies.
Though it can easily be covered with clothes, but at times it becomes very painful and causes itching. Hence, it is important to take care of back acne. Here are some home remedies to cure back acne.
Natural Remedies for Back Acne
Apple Cider Vinegar
Prepare a mixture of 1 part of apple cider vinegar with 3 parts of water. Apply it on the affected areas with a cotton ball. Leave for some time and then rinse. This kills bacteria which lead to acne.
Cut tomato into two halves and rub it on the affected area. Leave the pulp on the skin for about 15 minutes and then rinse with cold water. It helps to lighten scars and marks on the back.
Apply gel of aloe vera leaves directly on the affected areas. It reduces redness and swelling. Aloe Vera is a wonderful herb to treat acne.
Sandalwood helps to dry out the skin. Make a paste from sandalwood powder and rose water. Apply this paste on acnes at the back. Leave it overnight and rinse off in the morning.
Lemon works as natural astringent to cure back acne. Apply a mixture of equal quantities of lemon juice and rose water on the back using a cotton ball. Leave for at least 30 minutes and then rinse. You may also apply lemon juice directly on back acnes. Alternatively, make a paste of 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder. Apply it on the affected area and leave for an hour. Then rinse with cold water.
Keep orange peels for drying under sun light. Grind the dried orange peels and make a paste by adding water to it. Apply the paste on affected area. Leave it to dry and then wash off.
Grind cucumber and apply the paste on areas with acne. Leave for half an hour and then rinse. Alternatively, you may extract juice of two cucumbers and use it to wash the affect skin once or twice a day. This helps to reduce scars and acnes.
Crush cloves of garlic and apply it on the areas with acne regularly. This will lighten and remove acnes at a speedy rate.
Prepare a mixture of mint juice and turmeric powder. Apply this on affected areas and leave for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse with lukewarm water. Alternatively, apply a paste of turmeric powder with cream on the affected areas to treat back acne. You may also apply a paste of one teaspoon of each turmeric powder and sandalwood powder with milk to cure back acne.
Honey fights infections and works excellent in treating back acne. You may apply honey directly or mix it with yogurt. Alternatively, prepare a paste of 3 tablespoons of honey and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder. Apply the paste regularly before going to bed at night. Next morning wash using lukewarm water. You may also make a paste of 1 tablespoon of radish seeds, 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of milk. Blend all the three things together to form a paste. Apply it on affected areas and leave for two hours. Then wash with cool water.
Toothpaste is a very common home remedy to cure back acne. Apply a thin layer of toothpaste on the affected areas and allow it to dry. Then wash with cool water.
Oatmeal removes excess oil in the skin to cure acne. Cook some oatmeal and allow it to cool. Then add 1 tablespoon of honey and apply on the back. Leave it for 20 minutes and then rinse with cold water.
Baking soda eradicates dead skin which helps to cure acne. Make a paste by adding little water to baking soda. Massage the paste on the affected areas for 10-15 minutes and then rinse. You should not leave baking soda for more than 15 minutes as it may cause rashes.
Apply egg white on back acnes and leave for 15 minutes. Then rinse. You may also beat egg whites first and then apply on the affect areas to heal acnes.
Boil 1 cup of water. Put 2-3 dried basil leaves in this and soak it for about 20 minutes. Let the mixture cool. Then apply it on back acnes using cotton ball.
Mix ground oil and lime juice in equal quantities. Apply on the affected areas. Leave for 10-15 minutes and then rinse.
