To olive oil, put some calendula oil and oregano oil. Massage the area with these oils to moisturize.
Marigold flowers can be used as an infusion for drinking as well as for bathing. They have long been recommended and used for various skin ailments including psoriasis. For drinking, the infusion can be made for a day and kept. About 2 tbsp of dry flowers can be added to half a liter of water. It is allowed to be soaked for half an hour and then simmered for another 10 minutes. It can be divided into two doses.
You may add some honey for taste and drink it twice a day. This infusion without adding honey can be applied on the affected skin area, and kept for some time. After a while it can be washed with plain water. This application is specially useful for psoriasis of the scalp.
Calendula flowers can also be used in the same way as marigold flowers. They can even be combined with marigold flowers and used. Calendula creams are very well known for their efficacy in handling skin ailments.
If bitter gourd juice is taken regularly it can help cure psoriasis. Extract one cup fresh bitter gourd juice, add 1 tsp fresh lime juice and take it the first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. This home remedy is to be continued at least for a few weeks or months, depending upon the condition of the afflicted person.
