Leucoderma is a skin disorder that causes de-pigmentation of the skin. Discolored patches form in areas of skin where the melanin decreases gradually from the dermal layers of the skin. The skin cells known as melanocytes are responsible for the pigmentation of the skin. When these cells do not function properly then they are unable to produce the color giving pigment. This condition usually goes unnoticed in the initial stages as it starts from a very small discolored spot at the extremities or edges. But as time goes by, the spot enlarges into big patches and spreads to the other parts of the body. These patches are more common near the mouth, eyes, genitals, fingers, nails and nostrils. Besides the white patches, other symptoms include loss of hair, sensitivity to cold, white hair on the patches and premature greying of hair. Leucoderma is mainly caused by inflammatory skin conditions, deficiency of calcium, excessive stress and tension, chronic gastric diseases and wearing tight rubber gloves.
Best Home Remedies For Leucoderma
Turmeric
Soak five hundred grams turmeric in about eight liters of water overnight. In the morning boil the mixture and simmer it on a low heat until only one liter of the concoction is left in the pan. Cool the liquid and strain it. Add half a liter of mustard oil to it and mix well. Store the lotion in a glass bottle and apply it all over the white patches two or three times daily. Regular use will gradually restore the color of the skin.
Red Clay
Red clay is very rich in copper which helps to increase the production of the melanin cells and restore the pigmentation. Apply this paste twice daily on a regular basis till the white patches begin to fade and disappear altogether.

Simmer on a low heat for five minutes then turn off the heat. Drink this decoction four or five times daily.
