11 Alternative Remedies For Cellulitis

Cellulitis is Bacterial infection. In layman’s words it initially causes red swollen skin that feels hot and tender to touch. Group A Streptococcus as well as Staphylococcus are the main bacteria causing it. They are basically found in throat and skin. Studies have shown that it mainly affects the leg of human body and it may spread to other body parts. This infection is non- contagious, i.e., it does not spread from one person to another. Insect or spider bite, tattoos, blistering, animal bite, recent surgery, pruritic skin rash, athlete’s foot, injecting drugs, dry skin, eczema are the cases in which care should be taken as in these cases, skin is easily affected by the Bacteria. Also, it easily affects those having weak immune system and diabetes. It is caused due to exposure of cut skin to bacteria. It mainly affects the skin. But if medical care is not taken, it may affect the muscles beneath and become life threatening.

Here Are Few Treatments To Deal With Cellulitis:

Turmeric

It is a plant belonging to the ginger family. It is a very powerful natural antibiotic as well as antiseptic used since the ancient times for various medications. Curcumin is an active ingredient which effectuates as an anti-inflammatory. Add one teaspoon of turmeric powder to a glass of hot milk and drink the mixture once or twice as per the requirement on a daily basis until the infection clears. Make a mixture of one teaspoon of turmeric powder, one tablespoon of raw honey, and two teaspoons of bentonite clay i.e., clay formed out of volcanic ash. Apply the paste on the affected area for about 15 to 20 minutes and rinse off. Use the same till the infection disappears.

Commonly known as curd through its bacterial actions, acts on the affected area of the skin by reducing and discarding the infection. Simply apply the yoghurt on the affected area. Consume 1 to 2 cups of yoghurt as it increases the good bacteria count in the body and internally attacks the infection.

Water works wonder. By drinking lot of water, bad bacteria in body will be flushed out with urine. It is an efficient and prominent cure against bacterial infections caused in human body. Also, regular washing of affected area by water gives soothing effect and keeps the skin clean. Drink lots of water. Repeatedly cleanse the affected area with water.

Mixture of Rosemary & Fennel Oil acts as an effective skin lubricant. Normally, people tend to scratch infected area due to irritation caused.
