Warm Milk With Turmeric

Salt water is one of the best remedies for inflated tonsils. For this, you need to mix some boiled water with some salt, preferably sea salt. Then sip the water and tilt your head back. For this remedy, you have to mix about 1/2 cup of honey along with water. Then add a complete red onion (medium sized) to the mixture and bring it to a boil. Let it stay overnight at room temperature. You can add other herbs to the mixture if you like including black pepper or oregano. Then in the morning you can strain the same and use it as a syrup. Honey works here as a demulcent that helps in relaxing reflex of the cough. It also provides antimicrobial properties that aid in quick recovery.
Garlic, Castor Oil And Eucalyptus Oil Rub
Castor oil is one of the most easily absorbed oils by the body, which also aids in improving circulation. The oil boosts the immune system too. When combined with garlic it also helps to dilute mucus. Eucalyptus on the other hand has antimicrobial properties, which gives respite from the inflammation. For this, you need to take some cold pressed castor oil, about half a cup should suffice. Then you can add about two cloves of garlic to the same. A few drops of eucalyptus oil should be added to the same. Heat the mixture lightly to infuse the goodness of both products. Then rub it lightly on the throat and cover with a cloth. Let it stay for a few minutes and then wipe off using a warm compress.
During this time, it is also best to implement some dietary changes. Have lot of warm liquids and fluids during the period. Having hot soups, especially chicken soup is highly suggested. If you are having other symptoms like fever and pain in the body, then chicken soup provides instant immunity boost. Drink lots of fresh juices, especially of fruits that are rich in Vitamin C like oranges, water melon, etc. Ice popsicles may be taken to provide respite too but not if you are running fever.
