Rice bran powder is creamier in color in comparison too arrowroot powder and works well for dry skin as it doesn’t absorb too much powder. For getting the right shade of foundation, cinnamon or nutmeg powder can be used. Nutmeg works better for darker skin tones whereas cinnamon contains more essential oil but can irritate the skin in people with sensitive skin. To prepare this powder foundation, mix ¼ cup of rice bran powder with either cinnamon or nutmeg powder according to your skin shade. Argan oil / Jojoba oil – 2 teaspoons
Shea butter – 1 teaspoon
Emulsifying wax – ½ teaspoon

Witch hazel – 1 teaspoon
Non-nano zinc oxide – 1-4 teaspoons
Cocoa powder – ½ teaspoon
Mica powder – ½ teaspoon
Kaolin Clay – ½ tsp

Directions:

This homemade foundation will not only provide you with the coverage you need for your makeup but will also nourish and hydrate your skin. To prepare this DIY foundation, melt the argan oil, emulsifying wax and shea butter over a double boiler. Once completely melted, add in the witch hazel and aloe gel and whisk everything together till you get a homogenous and smooth mixture. Now remove from heat and add in the clay and zinc till you get the coverage of your choice. Now slowly add in the cocoa powder and mica powder a bit at a time till you get the perfect color for your complexion.
