Apart from this most of people use ginger to get rid of morning sickness, motion sickness, upset stomach, gas etc. Since ginger is rich in Vitamin C, Magnesium and other minerals it is extremely beneficial for our overall health. Do you know ginger is also known as one of the best anti ageing ingredients? Yes You must have noticed the usage of ginger as a core ingredient in various skin care products. Today we are going to discuss about how you can use this ginger in your home made beauty recipes. So lets have a look.
So Let’s Have A Look:
1. Ginger & Orange Body Scrub:
Ginger is a power house of anti oxidants. It helps to improve the blood circulation and keep your skin radiant. Orange is a boon for our skin. Its citrus content helps to brighten the skin tone and rejuvenate it. Here we are going to prepare a body scrub by using ginger and orange. We would need 3 cm of ginger root, one fresh peel of Orange, 4 to 5 tablespoons of epsom salt and two to three tablespoons of olive oil. Mix all these ingredients well except the olive oil. Now blend this mixture in the food processor to get a scrub like consistency. Once done add olive oil to it and mix well. Your body scrub is ready. You can store it in a jar and use it whenever your need. The scrub would help to detoxify the skin and also hydrate it.
2. Ginger & Pumpkin Facial Mask:
Pumpkin contains Beta carotene and other vitamins which helps to nourish the skin naturally. It also help to treat the sun damage and balance the oil secretion. Like Papaya, pumpkin also contains enzymes which help to exfoliate the dead skin cells and promote the healthy growth of new skim cells. We would need a quarter cup of a pumpkin puree, a quarter teaspoon of grounded ginger and a quarter teaspoon of grounded nutmeg. Nutmeg helps to sooth the inflammation and redness . It also helps to get rid of the acne scars and blemishes. Mix all the three ingredients well and store in a jar. You can keep it in the refrigerator for future use as well. Now apply this mask all over your face and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash off afterwards with cold water. Regular usage of this facial mask would helo you to get softer, clear and radiant complexion.
3. Ginger And Epsom Body Detox Bath:
Who doesn’t love to have a long relaxing bath after a hectic day ? Ginger & Epsom Body Detox bath helps to calm your senses and relax your muscles. It would also helps to unclog your skin pores and clean your body. You would need to take a quarter cup of grated ginger and quarter of baking soda. Mix both well with two cups of epsom salt. Now add this mixture to your hot bathing water and soak yourself for at least 30 minutes. This detox bath will help you to sweat and eliminate toxins from your body.
4. Ginger Hair Oil:
Due to the anti oxidant properties ginger helps to improve the blood circulation. When apply on the scalp it helps to stimulate the healthy hair growth by improving the blood circulation and provide adequate oxygen and minerals to the scalp. To prepare the ginger hair oil we would need two tablespoons of olive oil and a quarter teaspoon of grated ginger. Now warm up some olive oil and add ginger to it. Turn off the heat once the ginger turns brown. Let it cool down and strain it. Your Ginger infused hair oil is ready. You can massage your hair and scalp using this oil for at least 10 minutes before shampoo. Follow this remedy twice a week for best results.
5. Ginger Green Tea Ice Cube Facial:
To prepare these cubes we would need to brew a cup of a green tea and add few slices of ginger in it. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Now pour the mixture in the ice cube tray and let it freeze. You can use these ice cube to massage your face. Ice facial helps to smoothen the skin and reduce the appearance of pores. Ginger helps to get rid of blemishes and nourish the skin while green tea takes care of skin inflammation and redness. Hence it adds a natural glow to your skin.
