Home Remedies For Verruca

Vinegar

Vinegar is a well-known solution for effectively treating verruca’s. All one has to do is soak the verruca in warm water and then scrub of the outer layer of dead skin around the verruca with a pumice stone so that it becomes clean. Now cut a small square of cotton just slightly bigger that the verruca, dip it in vinegar, here the vinegar used can be either white vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Now put the vinegar soaked cotton ball on the verruca and secure it with a duct tape.

Keep this overnight, and in the morning remove it, wash it and keep it open. Repeat this procedure for some time. After a few days the verruca will change its color due to absorption of the vinegar and the skin will start drying of.Mainly the acid in the vinegar helps dry up the verruca, the same as any over the counter salicylic acid based gel or lotion would do.

For treating the verruca with banana peel, cut a square of banana peel just slightly bigger than the verruca. Cover the verruca with the inner white portion of the banana peel and secure it with a duct tape. Again in the morning leave it open and repeat the procedure in the night till the verruca vanishes.

Grate an onion and squeeze the juice. Dab a cotton ball a size bigger than the verruca, and apply it on the affected area. Secure it with a duct tape and keep it overnight.Repeat the procedure every night till it gets cures.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is known for its anti- bacterial properties. Dab a small cotton slightly bigger than the verruca, place it on the verruca and secure with a duct tape. Keep on changing the cotton everyday.

Duct Tape

The verruca virus is an aerobic virus, that means it needs air to propagate. If the infected area is secured with a duct tape, especially a silver colored duct tape, that will ensure that it cuts off the oxygen supply of the virus, thus preventing them from spreading. Any colored duct tape can be used, but a silver one is more preferred due to its cooling effect.

Using a home remedy is more beneficial than getting into any expensive laser removal operation, as even after the removal there is no guarantee it will not reoccur, and also the removal surgery is expensive. Whereas home remedies are cheap and work the same as a laser removal would.
