Useful Home Remedies For Acne Spots
The main reason of acne formation is the overactive sebaceous glands present just below the surface of the skin. To control acne it is important to keep the secretion of natural oil under check and egg white can do exactly this. Take an egg at normal temperature and separate the yolk from the white.Beat the white thoroughly and either do spot application or apply it all over your face and other affected areas. Let the egg white dry completely and then wash your face with lukewarm water. You may need to apply a thin layer of moisture after using this mask because of its drying effects.
Baking soda is an excellent natural exfoliator that scrubs your skin well leaving it absolutely clean and fresh. Scrubbing with baking soda will also get rid of the blackheads and whiteheads that lead to acne spots. Mix half a teaspoon baking soda with rose water to make a thick paste. So spot applications of the paste and leave it for 2-5 minutes; start massaging the spots using index finger. Do not massage for more than half a second. This will loosen up the blackheads as well as the acne and help in their faster removal. Wash the skin using warm water.
Fuller’s earth, also known as multani mitti, is an excellent way to get rid of the oily layer on the surface of the skin. Fuller’s earth also draws out the impurities present on the skin along with the extra oil. Prepare a face pack by combining powder of fuller’s earth with rose water or pure water to make a paste of spreadable consistency.Apply the pack on your face, back, chest and even arms to get rid of any acne spots. Allow the pack to dry for 20 minutes and then wash off using cold water.
This may sound ridiculous but many acne sufferers will tell you that this is one of the simplest but effective home remedy for getting rid of acne. Do spot applications of any flavour-free (very important) and white toothpaste on the acne and leave overnight. In the morning wash your skin using lukewarm water. Your acne spots would have diminished considerably in size.
Prepare ice by combining equal parts of rose water and organic water; take 2-3 pieces of ice and wrap them in a clean muslin cloth. Rub the ice pack over the affected areas for 5-10 minutes. Your skin will turn red and will be slightly numb from the application but the acne spots would have gone down considerably in size.
